After Dealing with the worst customer service since November of 2017 to this very day with Cussinart over a recall of my processor and being without the most important blade for several months ..I decided it was time to give up and get a new food processor...Well I must say...this new toy is just phenomenal!!!...Its quiet..it does the job efficiently and quickly...I riced an entire head of cauliflower in 15 seconds....I am blown away by this machine..I cannot wait to use it for my christmas goodies!...I also own the breville panini grill....Great Products...I know its pricey..but its worth every penny..the quality is just amazing!!..It will probably outlive me!
I replaced a 20-year-old Cuisinart with a new 14-cup Cuisinart, only to find that the top couldn't be attached to the bowl--defective alignment. It was also much chintzier feeling than the old one that died. After reading reviews (I was a Cuisinart cook, never looked at the reviews before buying), I found others had the same experience AND the tiny spindle that wasn't aligned correctly often broke. So I decided to spend the extra and get the top-rated Breville. Oh, my. I use my processor every day, often several times a day. I've only had it a day, but I've grated zucchini, pureed bananas, chopped nuts and onions, made pie dough (which I had never done in a food processor before--I'm kind of a snob about pastry) and sliced potatoes for au gratin. Everything was perfectly done (although I did have to scrape the sides of the bowl in order to get all the bananas pureed). Someone complained about the cord being short--it isn't. It pulls out from the base a full two feet and I love that it tucks right back into the base. The machine is sturdy, much better made than the Cuisinart. I also love the hole in the plug. That makes it so easy to remove the plug from the socket. My only regret is that I didn't order the plus, but I will get the small bowl and blade when they're back in stock. I'm a converted Cuisinart cook and love the Breville.
