We've owned our machine for 6 years now. We haven't had any issues. We've replaced the collapsible paddle once after 3 years, but we make a loaf of bread daily. We did give it a break for 6 - 12 mos. Since COVID-19, we started making our own breads again. Our go to recipes are the basic white bread, milk & honey, cinnamon rolls, and Tres Leche recipes. For Easter, we plan to make a braided bread. Other than that, the old girl has been operating perfectly since the first day we purchased her! We love our machine. We also own the juice fountain elite (5 yrs) and the newest member, the die-cast four slice smart toaster(6 mos). We love our Breville appliances!!!
I am completely in love with this bread maker. I make at least one loaf a week, if not more. The pizza dough is also a favorite. Can't wait to try the pasta dough! So happy to make it on my own and not have to worry about preservatives that are in store bought bread. Making a convert out of my family - my sister just bought one for herself!
The only downside - my first one the collapsible paddle got stuck and wouldn't collapse, so I had to get a replacement. So far, two weeks into the new paddle, there have been no issues! While mine was defective, it is super important to clean any dough from the hinge part of the paddle after each use.
I have 2 older bread machines but they were not reliable. I decided to purchase a new machine that would have better technology. I chose the Breville because it had the nut dispenser, made a 2.5 pound loaf and had many settings. I also saw that there was a sourdough recipe in the book that came with the machine so was certain that, even though there was no specific sourdough setting, it would make sourdough bread. I already had Breville's Sous Chef 16 Peel & Dice food processor, which is amazing! I have had the machine for about 2 months and every loaf comes out perfect! I am very glad that I made this purchase and am having so much fun with the bread maker! I talk about it so much that my husband says he's jealous!! LOL!!
This product is the first bread maker I had ever used; it opened up a new world for me. My favorite, go-to recipe is the rosemary olive oil bread, which I enhance with some wheat germ, flax seed, and chopped walnuts. As an empty nester retiree, I make one or two loaves per week. I did have a problem after about 18 months; the unit stopped baking after a few minutes. I assume it was an electronics problem. Quite happily, Breville solved my problem by replacing my old unit. So, I am more than pleased; I am astonished by the support.
I've had the bread machine for over three years. The first one had problems with the nut and fruit dispenser, but Breville immediately replaced it... should have written a positive view then. I live above 7,000 feet and this machine makes perfect bread every time. My kids prefer this bread over store bought loaves.
I'm on their site now to replace the bread pan. I accidentally scraped the bottom of the pan, user error. Great product and highly recommend it.
